Go-To Green Smoothie

This smoothie is my absolute go-to (in case that wasn’t already obvious from the name.) but SERIOUSLY. This smoothie is the ultimate quick breakfast that does not compromise on nutrition. Often I will put the ingredients in my blender the night before and place it in the fridge so that all I have to do in the morning is blitz it up!

The reason I love this smoothie in the morning is that it contains a ton of spinach – meaning you get a blast of greens and fiber right at the start of your day. It also has chia in it so you’re getting a good dose of essential fatty acids. Sometimes I will switch out the chia for some ground flax (this gives it a nuttier flavour but still has healthy fats + lots of fiber!)

I use Live Kuna quinoa and greens powder because it’s a great way to add protein to your smoothie that comes from WHOLE FOODS as opposed to synthetically made protein powders! (this is not an add) I just genuinely love the way this one tastes. The ground quinoa makes the smoothies EXTRA creamy (which is always a win in my books)

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 small banana
  • 1 cup frozen spinach
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 medjool date
  • 1 tsp ground chia seeds (or ground flax seeds)
  • 1 scoop Live Kuna quinoa greens powder

METHOD

  • In a blender, blitz together all ingredients until smooth and combined. Pour into a glass or into a mason jar as an on-the-go breakfast!
