Hi, I’m Stella!
A Holistic Nutritionist (CNP) with first class honors from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, a Pilates and Barre Instructor (CMR) and Recipe Developer living in Toronto.
Prior to entering the wellness world, I struggled with disordered eating, digestive issues and hormonal imbalances for years. I know firsthand how difficult (and frustrating) it can be to find the help you need. However, I wouldn’t change a thing about my struggles because those have shaped who I am today. Those hardships are also the reason that my mission has become very simple: To help make everyone’s journey towards health a happy one. Especially, happier than mine was when it first started.
Overtime, through my love of food, mindful practice and a holistic approach that taught me how to heal from the inside out, I changed my relationship with both food and myself.
I graduated from McGill University with a degree in Cultural Studies and Anthropology where I facilitated my passion for understanding people and developed my love of writing. Currently, I run (this website) Wellness by Stella, I am the health and wellness editor of Mimibee Magazine, and a life-coach for Dr. Meghan Walker’s Legacy Program which is all about empowering amazing women to live not leave their legacy.
My biggest motivation is seeing the progress of others. I believe the key to health is helping people find their balance, one bite at a time. My mission in practice is to empower women to live their best, healthiest, nontoxic lives and feel happiest in their bodies. I primarily work with women who struggle with hormonal imbalances, digestive health, or stress/fatigue. As someone that has suffered with all of these things firsthand, I understand the struggles that women face and how difficult it can be to get the help you need. I wholeheartedly believe that having a good relationship with food starts with a good relationship with yourself – and that everyone deserves to have both.
My clinical practices uses one-on-one counselling to help heal health imbalances and promote self-love both online or face to face. I also host nutritional, self-care and body-positive talks to help my clients and community reach their highest potential.
I work hard to make sure every client feels helped and most importantly, heard. I love to reach as many people as possible with my writing and has been featured on publications like Mind Body Green. I am an ambassador for brands I believe in such as Manitoba Harvest and Rootz Nutrition. When I’m not working, you can find me in the kitchen cooking up some new delicious healthy treats, swimming in any lake I can find and reading (probably Michael Pollan). My life and practice are committed to helping women have their most enjoyable journey towards their happiest, healthiest most balanced selves. Best of all, I do it using the world’s first medicine: food.
